Based in Acacia Ridge, Windsor and Strathpine, YMCA long day care's aim is to provide a warm caring atmosphere where each child can feel welcome and secure and diversity is recognised and accepted within centre life.

Of paramount importance is the provision of high quality care which we believe is the right of every child.
By providing a socially just program, stimulating experiences and positive interactions, all aspects of each child’s development is fostered in order to support each family’s efforts in raising their child to become a valuable and self sufficient member of society.

Our Centre provides a two course lunch prepared on the premises by our experienced cook.  We also provide afternoon tea and milk for the children. We ask parents to provide two pieces of fruit each day which is made into appetising fruit platters for morning tea.

The meals provided are carefully designed to supply a major part of each child’s daily nutritional requirements and to offer as wide a variety of flavours and textures as possible.  Meals are nutritious and balanced, with an emphasis on introducing children to a variety of foods from our diverse cultures.
