Y-South gymnastics has been successful in receiving $18,155.00 towards the purchasing of safety and skills equipment for their gymnastic programs from the gambling community benefit fund.

Acacia Ridge YMCA Early Childhood Centre would like to thank the Acacia Ridge Branch of the Bendigo Bank for their generous sponsorship of our Breakfast Club.  The Breakfast Club started several months ago and has taken off with roaring success. 

The Heritage Hotel at Old Petrie Town is now offering a full range of Kenilworth Cheeses to the public at wholesale prices.  Prices range from $4.00 to $4.50 and if your centre would like to place a monthly order, delivery can be arranged!

The 7th of September saw the annual running of the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run.  This year the YMCA pulled together quite a sizable team of members and staff from a number of the health and recreation centres.

Fifteen young people graduated from YMCA programs with a Certificate I in Automotive on the 18th September. 

The majority of these young people have been disengaged from school for three months or more and many are now returning to mainstream schooling or commencing employment.
